Cisco dual isp load balancing
Cisco dual isp load balancing

Several questions!ġ) Is this router capable of load balancing/failover a fractional (700Kbps) T1 & a Verizon (768Kbps) SDSL without using BGP (without any ISP involvement)? Do I need to purchase any add-on? Can I use the second FastEthernet for the second (verizon ISP) line?Ģ) If so, is it capable of load balancing/failover both outgoing and incoming traffic?ģ) I tried using Cisco Security Device Manager, but my IOS is not supported, is there anywhere I can get the proper, compatible IOS for free? (must be a version that is not effected by the IPV4 vulnerability)Ĥ) If I can not get the IOS for SDM, what exactly must I do to achieve the load balancing through command line?ĥ) For some reason, although I plugged in a CAT5 from my Verizon modem into the T1 DSU/CSU port, it still says “Serial0/0 is down, line protocol is down” (as shown all the way at bottom). I have just inherited a Cisco 2651 Router just in time for a new project.
